A Journey Through Time, Where Hands Speak

Craft has lived alongside the hands of people throughout time.

Rooted in the climate and nurtured through everyday life, these hands continue to create even today.
Within the skills and spirit lies the quiet strength of countless unnamed endeavors, and the pride cultivated by each land.

Today, we once again listen to the stories told by hands—not merely to look back with nostalgia, but to encounter craft as it pulses with the rhythm of the present. It is time to begin a journey to the production regions, where people and techniques have long engaged with one another.

We meet the makers’ gaze, exchange words, and touch their techniques. There, we find the power to open up the future. A journey into the living craft of today is also a new inquiry—one that connects each of us to our time.

And in 2025, to once again bring the power of craft to the world, we will hold the JAPAN CRAFT EXPO at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
We believe this exposition will open new doors to the future of craft and its regions, becoming a place that connects people across the globe.
Now, we take a hopeful new step forward.
